Job Shadowing- Job shadowing is a short-term experience (usually 2-8 hours at the employer's work-site) and can take place from the 9th through 12th grade. This experience is intended to introduce a student to a specific career by the one-on-one paring of the student with a particular employer/employee to "shadow" or follow in a work environment for a specific time. This is intended to help the student better understand the requirements of a particular career. It is customary to have the student identify the job, research the pay, determine the nature of the job and what he/she expects to get from the experience.
Shadowing opportunities are available in many different career fields.
