Introduction to Computer Programming, formerly known as Computer Programming 1, is designed to emphasize the fundamentals of computer programming. Topics include computer software, program design and development, and practical experience in programming using modern, text-based programming languages. 1 unit (120 hours) Grade Level 9, 19, 11, 12. Intermediate Computing Programming, formerly known as Computer Programming 2, is designed to expand upon the fundamental programming skills acquired in Introduction to Computer Programming (Computer Programming 1). Topics include intermediate program design and development techniques, security and ethics, and practical experience in programming using a modern, text-based programming language. 1 unit (120 hours) Grade Level 9, 10, 11, 12. Computer Repair and Service/Advance Computer Repair and Service, prepares students to perform tasks related to computer repair and service. Students receive instruction in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of computer-based technology including mobile peripheral, and networked devices, and laptops. Laboratory activities provide hands-on instruction in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, component replacement, operating systems, security, networking devices, and upgrades in accordance with industry certification standards. 1 unit per course (120 hours) Grade Level 10, 11, 12.
